Customer Service Agreement
INTRODUCTION: In this Service Agreement “Joe's Detail Shop”, “I”, "me", "us", "our" and “my” refer collectively to Joe's Detail Shop, LLC. “You” and “your” refer to each “customer,” including each person “Agent” you designate, with full authority, to act on your behalf with respect to your vehicle. "Owner" is defined as the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the vehicle registration. This Agreement explains my obligations to you and your obligations to me in relation to the service(s) you purchase. By using my service, you agree to the terms of this agreement, without modification by you. While someone other than the owner may pay for auto detailing services, I will not perform any service on a vehicle without the owner's direct consent and/or the owner of the property that I will be working at/on. By contacting me and setting up an appointment you certify that you are the owner of said vehicle. I am a certified automotive detailing service that prides myself in high-quality work and affordability all year round. I can detail everything from motorcycles, cars, vans, SUVs, trailers, and trucks. Joe's Detail Shop, LLC does offer commercial fleet/work vehicle contracts.
FEES: Since the condition of each vehicle varies, until I have completed the full job, the total cost is an estimate; however, I will contact you directly if I feel the need to go above the estimated cost for approval prior to completing the job.
All returned checks will be charged $35 return check fee.
In regards to a hazmat situation that needs to be removed from the vehicle (examples include, but are not limited to, animal or human feces, blood, vomit), you will be charged an additional $200 per job. Joe's Detail Shop will inform you if your situation falls under this hazmat policy prior to work being started once the vehicle is inspected upon drop off.
PAYMENT DUE DATE AND METHODS: Payment is due on the date of service. I accept cash, checks, ACH, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
If you or your business require a W-9, it is the customers' responsibility to inform Joe's Detail Shop, LLC of this requirement. Failure to inform us will still result in any late fees that accrue.
Late fees of $10/day will begin to be assessed after 7 days. After an additional 7 days of late fees Joe's Detail Shop, LLC may seek legal actions to obtain payment.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: You or Joe's Detail Shop may cancel a job at any time for any reason. Other than for weather conditions, I require at least 24-hours' notice from you to cancel a job, and depending on the situation we may refuse future service.
Please call if you are running late. I will wait for no more than 15 minutes from the beginning of your scheduled appointment, at which time the job becomes a cancellation by you if I do not hear from you. If you cancel with greater than 24-hours' notice, you may reschedule the detailing service for a later date.
We may be able to issue a refund if payment was via credit card by reversing the transaction, however, if this process is unable to be performed due to time restrictions, all refunds will be issued in the form of a check within 7-10 business days.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: If weather conditions prevent me from doing your service, your appointment will be canceled or/and rescheduled, and neither you nor Joe's Detail Shop will not be held liable in any way. If, and when this occurs, I will attempt to reschedule your appointment or you may request a 100% refund.
DETERMINING THE COST OF YOUR AUTO DETAILING: Joe's Detail Shop must see the vehicle before I can confirm with you the estimate for service(s). I reserve the right to adjust any over-the-phone or email estimate after I have visually inspected the vehicle.
QUALITY OF SERVICE: Joe's Detail Shop services help to recondition and restore your vehicle. No services offered are guaranteed to completely restore the vehicle to any previous or new condition. I will do my absolute best to restore the vehicle to the best condition possible and within the constraints of my resources, time, and expertise. I will conduct a final inspection together, with you, at the end of the job. If, after the final inspection, you find my service unsatisfactory, please contact me within 24 hours so I can address your concern(s). Joe's Detail Shop will not be held liable for any concerns after 24 hours of my service completion or if you did not complete the final inspection with me.
INSURANCE, ACCIDENTS, PREEXISTING CONDITION, AND DAMAGE: Joe's Detail Shop is insured to cover every customer and vehicle. Notwithstanding negligence, I am not to be held liable for any damage to your vehicle. I will perform a small test spot if your service requires the use of any cleaning solution prior to applying the solution to the full area. If something does get damaged while servicing your vehicle, I will advise you of the incident. I will inspect the condition of your vehicle with you for any existing damage at the time you drop off your vehicle. Additional pre-existing damage may be noted as the vehicle is serviced. You agree not to hold Joe's Detail Shop liable for pre-existing damage.
PREPARING YOUR VEHICLE: Prior to my arrival, please remove all items from the vehicle. Empty out the glove compartment and any storage compartments. Remove all cash, jewelry, and other valuables. If you do not want a particular area of your vehicle to be cleaned, let me know before I begin a job. I will box/bag any personal items I find while servicing your vehicle and remove them from the vehicle. I will return the items to you for sorting when you take possession of your vehicle. You agree to not hold me responsible for damage or loss to any item left inside or outside the vehicle. If an area has too many personal items remaining, it is within my discretion if I choose to not clean that area as I will not be liable for the items if they are not returned as you had them.
WHAT I WILL NOT DO: I will not remove any child safety seats or reinstall any child safety seats. If you have one or more of these seats installed in your vehicle, I will ask you to remove them prior to performing my work. Removing these seats will be in your best interest to obtain the full benefits of my services.
I will not be a party to any third-party arrangements, such as transportation or shipping arrangements of any vehicle. You may have a vehicle shipped or transported to my location, however, it is your responsibility to make said arrangements and payments.
I am also not responsible for your personal transportation when you drop off or pick up your vehicle.
I also do not have a waiting area.
KEYS, OPERATING/MOVING YOUR VEHICLE: Please make sure the keys to the vehicle are available to me. I have a night drop box and locked key return should you require a drop-off or pick-up of your vehicle before or after business hours. Please notify me that you are requiring an after-hours key pick-up so that I may provide you with a temporary code to access your keys. You authorize me to operate or to move your vehicle, only if it is necessary to do so. This may include, but is not limited to, moving the vehicle so that it can be parked on a wash mat or turning on the engine after it has been cleaned.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE: I require the collection of certain information from you in order to respond to your inquiries, provide automotive appearance services, and ensure that I can provide a quality and personalized service. When you inquire about my services via in-person, telephone, email, or through my website, the information I may collect includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, and the year, make, and model of your vehicle. I require this information in order to respond to your inquiry. If you decide to purchase my services, in addition to the above information, I may collect the vehicle registration at the time you drop off your vehicle. If you are not available when your vehicle is detailed, I will collect the name of a person you authorize to act as your agent and their telephone number. The information I collect is not legally required but is required in order to provide you with my services. If you choose not to provide this information, I may not be able to provide you with my services.
INFORMATION USE AND OPTING OUT: When the decision has been made to purchase a service from Joe's Detail Shop I will send you a service order via email (preferred). Once you decide to purchase a service, I will communicate with you via email or telephone, to provide the information and services you request and to manage your account. You may not opt-out of these transaction communications, which are not promotional in nature. I do offer promotional communications throughout the year. After making an inquiry about my services, before deciding to purchase a service, and after purchasing my services I may send you promotional communications via email. I may use your feedback about my services and take pictures of your vehicle for marketing purposes. No personal identification of the vehicle or its owner will be published. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by contacting me directly.
STORAGE OF YOUR VEHICLE: I have a limited amount of space to keep you vehicle after the job is completed. I will charge a storage fee of $50 each day that I have your vehicle if you fail to pick up your vehicle on the agreed upon date. I am closed on the weekends and it is within my discretion to be open for you to claim your vehicle on a weekend.
